The Model 245L uses a tiny disk of permethrin (an insect‑repellent safe for birds, people & pets when used as directed) encased in a weather‑resistant plastic dome. It mounts directly in line above your hanging nectar feeder, forming a barrier ants can’t pass. Under optimal conditions it begins working immediately and can stop ant activity in as little as 24 hours.
