Product Description

Pyranha Insecticide Aerosol delivers professional-grade fly control in a convenient ready-to-use aerosol format trusted by champions, showmen, and trainers across the country for over 50 years. This citronella-scented formula features Pyranha's signature triple-action performance - killing, repelling, and conditioning in one application. The oil-based aerosol contains 33% butoxypolypropylene glycol for superior coat conditioning, creating a lustrous show-ring shine when brushed into the coat. With 0.30% pyrethrins and 2.40% piperonyl butoxide, this formula delivers rapid knockdown and extended protection against 13 different insect species including all major fly types, mosquitoes, gnats, ticks, fleas, chiggers, roaches, and ants. The convenient aerosol application provides precise coverage and instant results - simply spray 3 seconds per side and brush out for unbeatable fly-fighting power combined with eye-catching sheen. Ideal for quick show ring prep or daily turnout protection, this dual-purpose formula works both as an on-animal spray and premise treatment for stalls, aisles, and wash racks.

Active Ingredients:

  • Pyrethrins: 0.30%
  • Piperonyl Butoxide, Technical: 2.40%
  • Butoxypolypropylene Glycol: 33.00%
  • Other Ingredients (includes petroleum distillates): 64.30%

Target Pests - 13 Species: Flies (6 types): Stable flies, horse flies, face flies, deer flies, house flies, horn flies Flying Insects: Mosquitoes, gnats Crawling Insects: Cockroaches, ants Parasites: Fleas, ticks, chiggers

Triple-Action Formula:

1. KILLS on Contact: Pyrethrins provide fast-acting knockdown of flying and crawling insects. Natural botanical insecticides derived from chrysanthemum flowers disrupt insect nervous systems for rapid kill.

2. REPELS Insects: The formula creates a protective barrier that keeps insects away from treated animals and areas. Combined pyrethrin and conditioning agents make horses unattractive to biting flies and mosquitoes.

3. CONDITIONS & Shines Coat: The 33% butoxypolypropylene glycol acts as a superior grooming aid and coat conditioner. When brushed into the coat after application, it brings out a bright, lustrous sheen that catches judges' eyes in the show ring.

  • EPA Registered: EPA Reg. No. 21165-1

Application for Horses:

Standard Treatment (3 Seconds Per Side): Hold aerosol upright with nozzle pointed away from you. Spray approximately 3 seconds on each side of horse, covering:

  • Legs (front and hind)
  • Belly and underside
  • Neck (both sides)
  • Back and topline
  • Sides and flanks

Face Application: Cover horse's eyes when spraying face, OR spray onto sponge or cloth and wipe onto face. This prevents aerosol mist from irritating eyes while still providing protection.

For Show Ring Shine: After spraying, brush horse thoroughly to work product into coat. This distributes the conditioning agents evenly and brings out a brilliant, eye-catching sheen that enhances appearance in competition.

Reapplication: Repeat treatment as necessary when flies are troublesome. Aerosol formula typically provides longer protection than pump sprays due to better coverage and oil-based formulation.

Premise Spray Applications:

Stalls & Animal Quarters: Spray in areas where insects congregate at a rate of 1 second per square foot. Target:

  • Stall corners and ceilings where flies rest
  • Feed bins and water buckets (allow to dry before refilling)
  • Walls and ledges
  • Bedding areas (spray lightly)

Direct Contact for Knockdown: Direct spray onto flying insects for rapid knockdown and kill. Immediate contact with pyrethrins causes quick paralysis and death.

Perimeter Protection: Spray around door facings, window frames, and screens to create a barrier that renders areas unattractive to insects. This prevents flies and mosquitoes from entering buildings.

High-Traffic Areas:

  • Grooming areas and wash racks
  • Barn aisles and walkways
  • Tack rooms with open doors
  • Feed rooms and storage areas

Cockroach & Ant Control: Spray into cracks and crevices where insects hide. Apply behind refrigerators, stoves, cabinets, and in corners. Direct spray onto cockroaches for fast kill.

Tick, Flea & Chigger Treatment: For animals with external parasites, spray onto fur until moistened lightly. The oil-based formula penetrates coat to reach skin where parasites feed.

Why Aerosol Format Excels:

Superior Coverage: Aerosol mist provides fine, even distribution that reaches every part of the horse's body. The pressurized delivery ensures product contacts skin beneath the coat for maximum effectiveness.

Longer-Lasting Protection: Customers report aerosol provides significantly longer protection than pump sprays. The fine mist creates better coverage and the oil-based formula resists sweat and water better than diluted pump sprays.

Cost-Effective: While pump sprays may seem economical, they're mostly water. Aerosol concentrate delivers more active ingredient per application with less waste. One satisfied customer who switched from pump spray after decades reported: "After trying aerosol, I've learned pump sprays are mostly water and actual waste of money. Protection lasts longer with aerosol. Pump sprays don't hold a candle to aerosol."

Show Ring Convenience: The instant application and immediate shine make aerosol ideal for last-minute touch-ups before entering the show ring. No waiting for product to dry or settle.

The Pyranha Advantage:

Trusted Leader Since 1973: For over 50 years, Pyranha has been the trusted name in insect control. This aerosol formula has been used by champions across the country and remains the #1 choice of professional showmen and trainers.

Pyranha Suspension Technology: No shaking or stirring required. The formulation stays perfectly mixed from first spray to last, ensuring consistent effectiveness throughout the entire canister.

Professional-Grade Concentration: Contains one of the highest concentrations of fly repellent available in an aerosol format. The 2.40% piperonyl butoxide synergist maximizes pyrethrin effectiveness.

Butoxypolypropylene Glycol Conditioning: The 33% concentration provides exceptional coat conditioning. This is what gives Pyranha Aerosol its signature ability to create show-winning shine while controlling insects - something water-based competitors cannot match.
