How to Serve
Steve's Real Food strongly recommends rehydrating freeze-dried nuggets before serving as a meal. Moisture is critical for proper digestion — pets need at least 60% moisture in their food to digest it properly.
- Scoop: Measure 1 cup of nuggets per 10 lbs of body weight per day.
- Soak: Add ⅓ cup of water, broth, or goat milk per 1 cup of nuggets. Let absorb for ~10 minutes.
- Serve: Each 1.25 lb bag rehydrates to approximately 5 lbs of food.
Dispose of uneaten rehydrated food within 24 hours. A few dry nuggets as treats are fine, but always rehydrate for complete meals.
