How to Serve
Steve's Real Food strongly recommends rehydrating freeze-dried nuggets before serving. Moisture is critical for proper digestion — if your pet does not have at least 60% moisture in their food, they cannot properly digest it.
- Scoop: Measure 1 cup of nuggets for every 10 lbs of body weight per day.
- Soak: Add ⅓ cup of water, broth, or goat milk per 1 cup of nuggets. Let absorb for approximately 10 minutes.
- Serve: When fully rehydrated, serve to your pet. Each 1.25 lb bag rehydrates to approximately 5 lbs of food.
Dispose of any uneaten rehydrated food within 24 hours. A few dry nuggets as treats are fine, but always rehydrate for meals.
